Understanding the particular language of care labels holds the key to making your clothes last longer, but it's sometimes difficult to understand them. Here's a little run-down on the ones you'll find on your Bellerose items.
The symbols
This symbol can be found at the top of the washing instruction label. It indicates how to wash the garment and at what temperature.

The triangle symbol indicates bleaching. In general, only white clothes can be bleached.
The tumble dryer is easy to identify. This symbol indicates whether the garment can be dried in a tumble dryer or not. If the garment requires a specific drying method, it'll be indicated inside the square.
The iron symbol indicates whether a garment can be ironed and on which level.
The circle means that a garment can, or should, be dry cleaned. In this case, the garment should be taken to the dry-cleaner.
The symbol is then complemented by various codes placed on or inside the items. Five very common codes already indicate everything you need to know.
The codes
They specify the symbol and provide information on the appropriate application.
If the symbol is crossed out, the garment can't be treated in any way.
The iron and dryer symbols have dots that symbolize heat. The more dots in the symbol, the higher the temperature can be. Particularly easy-care items often do not have dots.
The dashes under the wash and dry cleaning symbols indicate how gentle the garment should be washed. The more dashes the symbol has, the more gentle the garment should be washed. Delicate washing means, for example, not overfilling the washing machine drum and selecting a program for delicate textiles or a hand-washing cycle.
The temperatures indicated in the laundry basket symbol are the maximum wash temperatures to be observed, but you can also wash your garment at lower temperatures than those indicated.
The letters P, F and W can only be found in the dry cleaning symbol. P and F are letters for the solvent used in professional dry cleaning. W indicates professional wet cleaning.
